WHY
hugo-paper is a Hugo theme, inspired by pure paper writing and aiming at simplicity.
At present, the number of GitHub stars is 600 + and there are a wide range of users (after all, users from 12 countries have submitted language packs) 😆.
But it’s embarrassing that a theme with the same UI derived from hugo-paper 4.0 already has 1800 + stars, huh?? It makes me what to do.
I decided to update the hugo-paper UI and officially release Paper 5.0 two years after the release of 4.0.

hugo-paper 5.0, first is the update to the UI, rethink the display of text content, and optimize the presentation of effective blog information.
Secondly, change the automatic dark mode to manual (it seems that people prefer to click the button and pay attention to the small animation of button switching ~).
At the same time, you can also respond to the dark mode of the computer system. Try open demo and switch the dark mode of the system~
Then, it also added support for social accounts. At present, it supports adding icons of Twitter, GitHub and Instagram.
Finally, the overall UI presentation of the mobile terminal is optimized, and the previous and next navigation is added to the article page to make the reading experience better.
In short, while retaining simplicity, it makes the function more perfect and easy to use.
SHOTS
Quietly, the screenshot effect doesn’t seem to fully present the texture of the 5.0 UI. It’s more intuitive to open the demo.
